If you wait until after March 31, you may still be able to get Major Medical health insurance to help with your medical bills but there are two problems with it.
- Short Term plans are not approved for “Obamacare.” That means that if you elect to use one, you are still liable for the “Shared Responsibility Payment.”
- Short Term plans are medically underwritten. That means that pre-existing conditions are considered. They will definitely not be covered and they can be used as a reason to decline your application.
